Key Responsibilities
Provide first‑aid and medical attention to students, teachers and visitors for minor injuries, illnesses and accidents during school hours.
Maintain and update health records, immunisation charts and medication logs for all enrolled students.
Conduct daily health screenings, including temperature checks and visual assessments, especially during disease outbreaks.
Administer prescribed medicines and coordinate with parents and physicians for follow‑up care.
Organise and oversee health‑related workshops, hygiene camps and nutrition awareness sessions for students.
Ensure the school’s medical room is stocked with essential supplies, medicines, and emergency equipment, and replenish them as needed.
Assist in preparing emergency evacuation plans, conduct drills, and act as the primary point of contact during health emergencies.
Collaborate with school administration to implement policies on infection control, sanitation, and student wellness.
Prepare periodic health reports for the principal and comply with local health regulations and school board guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Graduate in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent) with a valid registration.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a school, community, or clinical setting handling paediatric and adolescent health issues.
Good knowledge of basic life support, CPR and first‑aid protocols.
Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents and school staff.
Basic computer skills for maintaining digital health records.
Salary
Rs.30,000 – Rs.40,000 per month, payable as per school norms.
